Art arrival date on visa application

Post by skkid3420 » Wed Jan 24, 2018 12:40 am

Hi everyone,
New to this forum, pls go easy with me. :D
a quick one.....
I have been told that when lodging application for spousal visa, applicant can choose any date from date of application up to 6 months (but some say only 3 months) to land at uk border.
Can anyone pls advise whether it’s 3 or 6 months?
Any official source can reference this?
Ta. :D

Thanks vinny for your quick reply.
Read the link provided, it states 3 months.
I take it as if 6 months is not the case, only people bluffing about it.

Thanks again for clarification.

Bear in mind also that the applicant will get a visa that is only valid for 30 days in their passport and they should enter the UK within the 30 days and collect their biometric residence card (visa) within 10 days of arrival.

Spouse visa and dependent

Post by skkid3420 » Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:18 am

Hi, hopefully someone here is able to shed some lights.
Background - Wife is British Citizen otherwise then by descent. Myself - non EEC national. Son also non-EEC national aged 15 from previous marriage.

We will use cash savings to apply settlement visa.

Questions :-
i. Do i submit a) 2 Appendix2 forms or b) 1 Appendix2 form (myself) + 1 Appendix1 form (son)?
ii. Is the bug for IHS payment for dependent children still unresolved? so need to wait separate email from Home office in order to pay dependent children's IHS?

Many thanks.

Do you have sole responsibility and evidence of this for your son??
