HSMP dependent visa - contract expiring in June

Post by web2005 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 10:41 am

Hi, I am on HSMP visa since Aug 2005. I was given FLR in Aug 2006 valid till Aug 2010. I am currently contracting through my own limited company. I have been on this same contract since October 2006. My employer just kept extendiing it for 2-3 months each time.

I am getting married in July this year and will be applying for dependent visa for my wife in first week of August. As I will need 2 months off starting from last week in June, my employer has decided to not extend my contract after that time. So my contract will expire last week in june before I leave for wedding.

I am not looking for jobs at present as I believe it will be better to find job on my return after the wedding. Dont think it will be problem as I never had any problem before. Not looking for job at present as I don't think new employer will allow me 2 months time off from work.

My question is will this cause any problem to apply for her dependent visa? Do I need to show a letter from my employer along with her visa application or just my bank statements along with my property papers to show accommodation will be enough? What if I show my contract valid till end of june along with payslips (not computerised as I get paid weekly by agency). Will this have any negative impact?

Do I need to show P60? actually I am behind in tax payments and will be paying all outstanding tax in May.

I appreciate your help in this matter.
