Hi, I applied at the beginning of October and today received a letter stating "due to complex circumstances we will not be able to complete your application in the 6 month timescale" (similar to that wording). I previously applied 2 years ago but was refused due to my immigration history and told to reapply in 2017 which I did. Could this be the reason for the delay?

Has anyone had this letter and received good news? If so how long did it take? H.O have not asked me for any additional information.
