Spouse visa 2018 Fees

Hi I was hoping someone could help please?

Basically my wife will be putting through the spouse visa in April, she is American and I am a British Citizen. I began my job on the 2nd of October 2017 and receive payment on the 5th of every month- except from this one time when I was paid on the 3rd.

I know there will be an increase in fees this April- could someone explain what date the increase is? I was wondering if it would be possible to avoid the increase if I was paid a couple of days earlier from my job? or if we applied for the visa on the 5th of April- as soon as I receive my pay?

Is there anyway I can avoid the increase charge of the IHS from 600 to 1200 this year?

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Wow, so finally the FLR applications have hit the 4 figure level. This government want to price people out of applying.

Excepted much bigger increase especially for settlement fees. Suppose they will make up for it via IHS.
