Very urgent - EC application VAF2 form clarification

Hi Friends,

As I got my HSMP on Dec-10-2007, I am coming under the old format of applying VAF2 form to get the EC.

There was the question about the my Sponsor,

Actually I have not received any offer or appointment from any company in UK. I am trying to get the job. One of my friend is giving me the accomodation to stay in UK till I get the Job in UK.

So I have given answer as 'Yes' and relationship as 'FRIEND'

Was the above question asked about the Company giving the sponsor to me or someone staying in UK and providing the accomodation?

Hi Siva,

Have you met the Maintainanace fund requirement. Is it mandatory to have 2800 pount for 3 months for people who received HSMP Approval letter before April 1st(India).

I received my HSMP approval letter in March but not maintaned the 2800 pounds in my accounts. I believe I need to wait for 3 months for applying EC or Tier1.

Hi Siva,

I am not sure but for your doubt regarding the 6.3 Section of Dependants , i think this is for those people who are accompanying the main applicant as dependants or for those people whose husbands are in UK as main primary applicant.

If you go thru the VAF2 Guidance Doc for the question

Are you related to your sponsor ?
If Married then please give the date & location of the ceremony & provide documentary evidence such as marriage certificate.

So , i dont think this needs to be filled up by the primary applicant .

Moreover , I had a email conversation with VFS & they said that people who have got their HSMP approval letters before 1st april should apply with th old rules only

I received my HSMP approval letter after 1st April, so do I need to fill the new Tier-1 form for the EC? under trnasitional scheme?

I am confused because you guys using VAF2 form!!!
