FLR M, Combine salary calculation HELP PLS!

Post by Mrsrainbow143 » Wed Mar 21, 2018 1:31 pm

hi all can you guys tell me if my computation is correct, for future FLR M application we combined our salary. note we both working on permanent contract and both non salaried. ok so this is just the sample wage, i get usually 220 a week but it goes up with overtime while my husband paid 550 every fortnight also he gets more when theres overtime. here's my computation can you guys check if im doing a correct computation....

wife is 220 a week multiply 4 weeks thats 880 a month so for 6 months i get £5,280 divided by 6 so its 880 multiply by 12 and the total is £10,560

my husband paid 550 every fortnight so thats 1100 a month and for 6 months he get £6600 divided by 6 its 1100 multiply by 12 and the total £13,200.

THEN FINAL TOTAL me and my husband £10,560 + 13,200 = £23,760 is it correct computation for non salaried?

what im trying to ask is the formula of calculation i did for non salaried, combine salary is it correct??

There is only one month in the year that has exactly 4 weeks. So I don't believe your calculation is not correct as some months have 5 weeks.

Your pay would be better calculate as follows :

£220 per week x 52 divided by 6

Hubby pay

£550 per 2 week x 26 divided by 6
Char (CR001 not Casa)
In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!

550 x 26 divided by 6 is = 2,253 then multiply to 12?

No, see below with correction.

220 x 52 weeks (to give annual figure of 11,440) then divided by 12 (sorry not 6) then multiply by 6 (months) is = 5,719

550 x 26 weeks (to give annual figure 14,300) then divided by 12 (sorry not 6) then multiply by 6 (months) is = 7,150
Char (CR001 not Casa)

In addition of croo1 advise, preferably these calculations you yourself do and mention in either covering letter/additional info section on form instead leave on caseworker to do that. Moreover, also be careful in attaching the bank statements for required period.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
