Please help - Past earnings

Post by ruka » Wed Apr 16, 2008 10:35 am

Hi,

Thinking of migartion under HSMP. They ask for past earnings. Is this before taxation and other deductiuon or after the deductions. please help

And do have any idea on how much funds I have to show ? I am married and have two kids.

How much would it cost for the application process ?

thanks in advance

As per the new rules, you have to apply under Tier1 and not HSMP.

Extract from tier1genpolicyguide.pdf -
68. For applicants in salaried employment the applicant’s gross salary before tax will be assessed. This includes self-employed applicants drawing a salary from their business. If the applicant’s earnings were generated in a country with no tax system, their total earnings for the period will be considered.

Fee for making a standard Tier 1 (General) application - 750 GBP

extract from tier1dependantsguidance.pdf -
30. If the Tier 1 (General) Migrant (the main applicant) is outside the UK or has been present in the UK for less than 12 months, the Family Member of the Tier 1 (General) Migrant must demonstrate that either they; the main applicant; or (in the case of children) their other parent
who is also legally present in the UK; has at least £1600 to support the family member in addition to any funds the main applicant must demonstrate to support themselves.
31. If the main applicant has been present in the UK for 12 months or over the Family Member of the Tier 1 (General) Migrant must have £533 to support themselves.
For example, a main applicant who has been in the UK for 6 months, who is making an application at the same time as his spouse and two children must show that he has £1600 for his spouse and £1600 for each child, in addition to £800 required for his own support. In total the family
will require evidence that they hold £5600 in available
funds (£1600 x 3 = £4800 + £800).
32. If the same main applicant and his family had been present in the UK for two years, they would require evidence that they held £2399 (£533 x 3 = £1599 + £800) in available funds.

Processing fee

Post by ruka » Thu Apr 17, 2008 1:14 pm

You said the processing fee is 750 GBP. Is this only for the main applicant.
If I apply for my wife and kids does it cost more.

Is there any other fee involved for processing. Medical fee etc.

Thanks

There is one off fee if you all apply. But if your dependent apply seperately then you have to pay their fee as well.
