Questions on getting married on a Tier 4 Visa

Hi,

I earn £18,500 per year before tax. Yes I know very unlucky how it is only £100 per year under the threshold!

My fiancé (on a tier 4 student visa) and I are seeking to extend her visa through a spousal visa next year.

I've heard from other members in this forum that the £18,600 requirement is something which can be made up of both you and your partners earnings.

Given that, could I just provide one payslip from my partners zero hour contract job stating that she earned over £100?

Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

You need 6 months evidence, payslips and bank statements for both of you.

Your fiancee would have to submit the last 6 months of payslips (as will you), not simply one payslip showing £100.

Simplest would be to ask your employer for a £100 pa increase, which is a paltry 8.33 per month.

Yes it would be since the lowest paying month (Feb) meets income requirement.

Not sure how you managed to get to £300 when you earlier posts mentioned only £100. You'll need to provide evidence by payslips and bank statements.

P.S, if your latest slip is for June 2017, you should know the latest payslip cannot be more than 30 days old.

My reason for throwing these random figures around is because I want to know how we can meet the requirements based on me being in full time employment and my fiancé being on a zero-hour contract working less than 20 hours per week.

Yes,

This is very possible and will most likely happen, last year I got a raise of £4,000 so it is very much possible.

Unfortunately in life not all things are able to be relied on.

From what I've learnt if you deserve a raise you shouldn't want it or need it, you should have earned it and deserve it.

I appreciate that it seems petty and such a small amount, roughly and extra £2 per week! But sometimes payroll works on pay grade, therefore salaries in larger companies don't vary that much, they tend you only be able to give you a raise of a minimum of £1,000 unfortunately not £100.

My fiancé is on a Tier 4 Student Visa, with 20 hours p/w permitted (during term time).

I currently earn £18,250 (salaried).

At the point in which we apply for the spouse visa I will have been on that salary for 12 months.

As the income threshold is £18,600 per year what are my options? (other than asking for a pay rise).

My fiancé has a zero hour contact job (due to the nature of her working restrictions).

She will often earn approximately £500 per month however some months she will earn much less e.g. £100 - 150 per month.

Would I be able to combine our incomes? If so what category would I apply under?

Hi,
My fiancé is on a Tier 4 student visa which expires in a years time. We want to get married in the UK in a registry office in order to get the documents sorted to allow time to get her Passport & Biometrics Card replaced with her new last name about 3 months before the real wedding ceremony.

We are having our 'actual' wedding in Florida in December but will have already had all of the documents sorted (i.e. we would be married by law already).

Our reasoning for doing this is to exempt my need for a fiancé / marriage visa in order for me to get married in the USA.

Can anyone give me any advice for what we are planning to do?
