UK tier 1

Post by Jedi001 » Wed Apr 09, 2008 5:26 am

Hello All,

Can anyone answer the below question please...

Maintenance Fund:-

1. Do we need 800 pounds for the period of 3 months?
or
2. Do we need 2800 pounds for the period of 3 months?
or
3. Do we need 2800 pounds for the period of 1 month?

I am planning to apply from India.

Kind regards

Maintanance Fund

Post by kiladik » Wed Apr 09, 2008 7:17 am

Hi,

Iam applying from India and I have already recieved the HSMP approval letter (in March). Iam planning to go for EC soon. Can someone tell what is the Maintanance fund we need to show.

Is it 2800 pounds for 1 month or 3 months.

If there is a dependent then what is the extra amount we need to show.

Appreciate your reply.

Regards
KK

DETAIL

Post by babar » Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:21 am

I am also searching for same situation.

My questions are:

ON BIA WEB SITE It is mentioned that the applicants within UK need to show 800 GBP just for one month untill 29th June.

Now in India we need to show 2800 GBP for main applicant. The ?s are:

1- What amount is required for 3 dependants going with
2- Is it necessary to stamp the VISA for dependants at the same time.. can it be after main applicant goes UK?

Your help is required.

Thanks in Advance.

@babar
@kiladik
@Jedi001

If you are applying from India you need to show 2800 pounds for Main applicant and 1600 pounds per dependent. If you have 2 dependents then you need to show 3200 = 1600 * 2.

So total amount would be
6000 = (Dependents )1600 * 2 + 2800 (Main Applicant).

This amount of money should be in your or any dependents account for last 3 months.

The amount should never be less in last 3 months.

I hope I answered your queries.

Hi babar,

You can get the entry clearence for yourself (main applicant) first and go to UK.....here you need to show 2800 pounds for the past 3 months ( please note u need to have 2800 pounds in your account after every transaction in the past 3 months ).

Then after couple of months u can apply entry clearence for your dependends so that they can also travel to UK...

Insha'Allah

2800 for main applicant.
1600 for dependent.For 2 dependents it works out 3200.
Total:2800+3200=6000.
Approx. show equivalent INR 5lacs.

Online statements are not acceptable. If printed then they must be authorized by bank.

regd maintenance fund within India

Post by shubi81 » Fri Apr 18, 2008 3:25 pm

Hi Rajesh ,
So multiple bank accounts accepted ..right ? say if i dont have 2800 GBP continuously for the last 3 months in 1 bank account , can I show another one also , so that the combination is more than 2800 ?

Also, if you see the guideline from BIA website , thr are certain criterias for accepting online statements , it didn't says that it needs to be authorized by Bank ? Can you tell me how can i authorize my USA /UK bank account ??

Thanks a lot .

If you are showing Bank Statement as an evidance to Salary Credit then Online Statements are not accepted.

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... tatements/

If you are showing Bank Statement as an evidance to Maintanance Funds then Internet Statements are aceepted

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... intenance/

You can show multiple accounts to meet the maintainance Funds.
