Start date of 5 continuous years regaurding ILR application

Hi
I am a Dutch national. Arrived in UK 14 Jan 2014. Started work April 2014 till present day. My question is will my 5 year period begin from when we arrived or from the day I started work? I apologise if this has been answered before. Thank you for your time.

You mean PR under EU regulations? ILR is under UK immigration rules for non-EU citizens.
The five year period required for PR normally starts with exercising treaty rights though there is also an allowance for job-seeking (three months I believe - others to confirm). Job-seeking may have to be documented.
