UKVI Red route yes, costs £150. As far as I understand, it needs to be the comparable to UK degree and ELA assessment.

Hi ILRasi,

I applied with UKNARIC for my wife couple of weeks back. I contacted them. They said all UK VISA applicants have to use the red route which costs £120 + VAT + postal charge ( I paid £152 in total). This allows UKVI to check the details directly with UKNARIC. This application provides two certificates - one your english language is equivalent to level B1, C1, etc and the other which provides comparability to UK bachelor's or master's degree.

I dont think you can use the normal English Language assessment which costs approx £50 for VISA applications anymore.

Thank you.

I am confused why compatibility certificate is required. As spouse is my dependent not sure why we need to have degree comparability for dependent.

Can you please direct me to the home office link where it says red route uknaric is mandatory.

Regards

Regardless of whether your dependent or not, ALL applicants for ILR have to meet the same requirements. Your dependent is not exceptional or exempt.

From the Set(O) form, page 15, it clearly states :

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... -01-18.pdf
• an academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the
recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
or
PhD in the United Kingdom and:
˗ UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was
taught or researched in English
to the appropriate level
If she does not have a SELT IELTS B1, then she must have the above.

Just to add what CR001 said.

For my wife also, I had the same confusion. She had degrees from Indian. But the UK NARIC (for UKVI) cost is same as taking a Trinity B1 (SELt) exam. So I decided to go with English test and it is far more less hassle. If you have lived in this country for 5 years then this test should be fairly straight forward.

In fact someone suggested it me from this forum.

Hi,

Can I apply for Statement of Comparability separately (fee £49.50 + VAT) as I have already paid £50 to get the English Language Assessment letter and also received the letter from UKNARIC.

Or whether I have to make new application and select the service "Visa and Nationality service" which cost me £150.

Please help with your suggestion.

Thank you.

Hi,

Regarding cohabitation proof for 2 years I am submitting the below,

1.Council tax yearly bill addresed to both my name and wife namr (ebill)
2.Water bill 2 years yearly bill addressed to my wife
3. 1 month bank statement with current Address .As we forgot to change the current Address in the bank since 2 years we just updated the address last month hence only a month statement shows current Address.

Post by ILRasi » Sun Apr 15, 2018 7:32 pm

Hi,

Next week applying ILR for family and I hold British passport.

For cohabitation documents is there any document should be in my name or is it acceptable to submit documents with ONLY wife name for 2 years spread across each 4 months from 3 different sources.

Thank you.

Hello, could you please get your ILR result back to us? More people here are waiting for more recent experiences.

But are you sure about if it will be fine or not that the proofs of cohabitation can only be covering for 2 years but not 5 years?

Thank you and good luck!

Yes, you can request for Statement of comparability(fee £49.50 + VAT) now to support your English assessment instead of requesting full scale Visa and nationality from NARIC.
