My husband got his ILR this month so i've some questions regarding ilr dependant.
I arrived in UK on 4-Apr-2014 as tier 2 dependant
My brp details as follows
brp1 - 27/3/2014 - 24/3/2016
brp2 - 29-11-2016 to 22-04-2019

So I understand that i can apply for ILR in March/April next year. The question i have is if my husband changes his job ( as in he goes to university for studies) or takes a job which pays less than 36K from next month would that affect my ILR application.

As he is on ILR, his immigration status is not governed by the Tier 2 rules anymore. Tier 2 requirements do not apply at all. Your can apply for ILR, regardless of his circumstances.

If your husband applied ILR through Tier 2 PBS route, you are safe.

Why do you want to change your visa category??? Doing this will reset your clock to zero for ILR and a new 5 year route to ILR.

You can stay on your Tier 2 dependent visa till you qualify for ILR.

You don't need to change your VISA after your husband has ILR, but keep as PBS dependent and apply ILR through PBS dependent route! Even if your PBS dependent VISA expired before your are eligible to apply ILR, you can extend your dependent VISA as PBS dependent, until you fulfill 5 years for ILR application as PBS dependent. (not your case anyway)

NEVER NEVER NEVER change to spouse VISA, as CR001 said you just reset your clock to zero and need the other 5 years for ILR!!!

But there is a catch: if your husband got his ILR through 10-year long residency but not 5-year PBS route, then you cannot apply for ILR through 5 year PBS dependent route anymore, even your husband's last VISA before ILR is PBS.... some families mourn in this forum did fell into this "trap", unfortunately.....

Btw, any expert here knows the rationales of the "catch" as above???

Btw, what happened between BRP1 and BRP2?

The break is too long thus you broke your continuous residency and now your start of 5 years ILR is from 29-11-2016, NOT 27-3-2014, except that discretion granted...... which is extremely difficult.

brp2 - 19-12-2014 to 26-01-2018 ( 2nd tier 2 PBS )
brp3 - 29-11-2017 to 22-04-2019 ( extension PBS )

Husband is now on a ilr as of this April 2018 , so i guess its advisable me continue as the same tier 2 dependent as per the above brp 3 until 22-04-2019, so as per this data i can apply for ILR on 27/3/2014 .

Have i got this correct ?

Yes. As now you have no break actually, so you can fulfill 5 years requirement on 27-3-2019.

You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening for:
Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle) or British Citizenship

Are you not applying for ILR (indefinite leave to remain i.e. PR)???

Why are you wanting to change visa categories??

You should stay on your PBS dependent visa.
