If it was initially accepted by UK visa authorities then more likely be accepted now & later too. But preferably get a original copy from relevant authorities.warren_sa wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 12:27 amHi there,
I have two questions and hopefully they are easy to answer.
Today I went to apply for a Schengen visa and the gentleman there said he could not give me the "free spousal route" as my South African marriage certificate has not been certified in the UK yet.
This got me a bit worried as I am due to apply for my ILR next February.
Question 1: Do I need to have my marriage certificate certified by the South African embassy in the UK to apply for ILR? It already has a stamp from the SA home affairs when we got married in SA 5 years ago.
So your visa has already expired in February.
Expires next February?
