British passport for child

Good morning to all , I am going to write on the behalf of my friend . My question is :
He got permanent residency on last month(after divorce with eea national) and want to apply British passport for his son who is 5 years old and hold a polish passport and full time education in school What documents do he need to apply British passport for his son .thanks for your help
