Question about children

I am currently on Tier2 dependant visa, my husband has a tier 2 shortage occupation visa. I have been in the UK for 3 years. If I had a child in the UK right now, would I need to apply for their passports and visas? Assuming I don't travel outside the UK for two years can they live here for 2 years without a passport or visa? What will happen when me and my husband get ilr in two years time? Any clarity will be greatly appreciated.
