Hi cheers2boss,
firstly Congratulations!!
please can you tell me when was your payment processed?
I spoke to a person yesterday and he said although my application was received on 28th Feb, the payment was cleared on 11th March, causing a delay with my application to be assigned to a case worker

my application was received on 27th Feb but payment was taken only on 3rd March. Didnt receive the ref number till 18th March after I called. cheers2boss did a good thing to call them up early to get th ref number. I guess not they are processing applications based on the ref number.

Cheers

Hi OrangeSceptre

I have included postal order for fast payment, hence I guess the payment was cleared on the same day.

Sent application from NZ: 22 Feb
Application arrived in Sheffield: 26 Feb
Payment deducted: 28 Feb
Ref number received: 11 March
Ref number: 2537**
Approved on: 25 April
Documents received: hopefully very soon...

59 long days of waiting. Due to leave NZ on 23rd May, hopefully the EC part doesn't take very long. I was quite sneaky, and went ahead with my EC application in the hopes that the letter was coming soon (and that it was a yes), so my biometrics have been done, all I need is the letter and then I can courier it all off to Wellington.

Thanks to everyone here, and the info on the boards - invaluable!

I've just given up waiting on this now and I'm not bothered about the result of the application either.

So long as I get my original documents back I'll be happy! I think I've wasted enough money and enough time on this thing now.

Don't give up cantwait. 10 weeks and counting for me. It's frustrating when other people who applied after me are getting approved, but you just have to ride it out.

I hope wht you hv mentioned above is true that they are making progress....coz when I spoke to someone at the HO today, he said that they are still at 25th Feb. and it is not when the application was received at the HO but the date when the payment was cleared that is considered as the date of receipt...and my application is waiting in a long queue to be assigned to a case worker as my payment was cleared on the 11th of March..Also I read someone mention that they have received around 4k applications in the last week of feb.... that means more waiting for me .....:( :( :( :(

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear All

Thanks God, I got full 4 years extension yesterday. Applied as self employed person under transitional arrangements.

I had initial visa of 12 months. Landed in to U.K little less than 8 months after visa was issued from Islamabad. So I had just few days over 4 months of stay in U.K before applying for extension. The time I arrived I was not sure and was very worried if i could get HSMP extesnion on the basis of just 4 months of stay in U.K under revised HSMP rules. But dream has become reality.

I have been going through the HSMP board quite regularly and had the basic knowledge of everything but still I I took the help of a consultant who gave me full guidance, consultation and support in helping to prepare all the required documentation in the most efficient and reliable fashion in very short space of time for reasonable fee. But fee was not more important than my future and the investment I had already done. He is my star!!! These professional guys are very clever they know the loop holes in the system which they try to get benefit of. I provided him the bank statements of only 3 months and i just got registered as self employed with HMRC 2 months before applying the case. But still he did it for me. Unbelievable, Anyways my timelines are:

Visa expiry date: 14 March
Application despatched: 13 March
CC charged: 14 March
Ref received: about 18 March
Passports received back: 4 April

In all it took about 20 calendar days in posting application and receiving the passports back with full four year extension for myself and one dependant.

Although I have got extension however my sympathies are still with all those who have suffered due to the change of rules after 8 Nov.

Believe me this 8/11 change of HSMP rules have become just like 9/11 US attacks for most of us.............

Rizwan, you got extension for 4yrs via self employement in April 2007 how come you recieved another Dox again

Advertising i suppose  Your previous post says it all..

Did I say that I made application for myself?

I am just giving the timelines of the HO for one of the cases which I observed.

If it were advertising then I would not have only written a time scale.

If it were advertising then I would have created a new ID just as you did!
