Its not uncommon to receive this email even after a decision has already been made, or even on the same day as a decision will be made. Hopefully not a long wait for you.

Thanks for that! I think I'll call the dreaded hotline, as emails have been hit and miss (more miss). The fact we haven't received our documents back really bothers me - is there ever a case when they return them after the decision is made?

This is a common case - alot of times documents are returned after a decision is made.

Same here I’m waiting for my documents to return I applied on the 27 April biometric done 30th April documents received at Sheffield 4 May rang last week for a status update was told application awaiting decision. Still waiting for return of documents.

It came out of the blue - exactly 60 working days - despite the late notification and no documents. Had forgotten what levity was, this is what a good day feels like! Good luck to everyone out there! This is an unfair and pernicious system, even if it works for the lucky ones. I hope it is made more humane in the near future.

Submitted a non priority application and Biometrics taken 12th April 2018 but still have not received the email from UKVI saying application is under consideration. has been 5 weeks.
