Accommodation Help. Spouse Visa

Post by Jackw40 » Fri May 18, 2018 6:30 am

Hey all,

Currently in the process of gathering documents for my wife’s visa and need to know what accommodations documents I will need.
I am currently living with my sister and her husband in a 3 bedroom house that they own. They have no problem letting her and myself stay with them until we find our own place.
What documentation must I provide as proof of this ?

I have read a few people have housing inspections done, but others say it’s not necessary. So I’m a little confused.

Personally I don't think you need a housing inspection.

We included:

Cover letter from the person who owns/rents the house saying they give permission for you to live there.
Deeds of the house if they legally own it (or letter from landlord / rental agreement)
Architectural floorplan of the house showing how many rooms there are.
A utility bill (we used a water one)
Council tax bill
