Just a quick update. I applied for the visa on Monday (23rd April) from Mumbai India via the priority service. Received an update on the 24th of April (yesterday) that the electronic application had reached Sheffeld, UK and was being prepared for consideration by an entry clearance officer.
Hi Plabber. Did you get your VISA? My biometrics were on April 26, recd 6th Sheffield email on May 2, had called UKVI and they said application status is complete. No word since. Standard application.
Yes, I mentioned in the thread that I went to vfs and it was ready for collection even though they did not email me about it. You should try it too if you live close to the center and havent opted for the courier service.

An interesting update guys.....

it seems UKVI published April VISA processing time lines, so I am hoping all April applicants are processed now

Points Based System Visas
PBS Tier 2
Most applications are processed within 15 days.

Number of days to process application 2 days 3 days 5 days 10 days 15 days 30 days
% of applications decided 7% 31% 45% 54% 96% 100%
Note: actual processing times may vary depending on a range of factors.
The above data is for all decisions made in April 2018

What do they mean by processed - Decision made by Sheffield? Stamped passport? Despatched passport?

I think its only the time Sheffield takes to make a decision. Else we would not have so many people here. My guess would be Stamping + Passport despatch dates are not considered.

I believe it should be working days since everything they refer to in working days.

I Don't know how to PM here!
so going by there word... if your desicon was made on 4th, then max by tomorrow it should be shipped? Right?
Ideally yes. But as days go by, I am not sure how much to rely on them!

I have a related question - we get a 30 day travel vignette and have to travel within the 30 days. The 30 days travel vignette starts from the date of stamping or intended date of travel to the UK?

If its from the date of stamping, we are loosing out on the days.
royarjun2005 : Vigenette Date is from Travel Date: Hence, we both will be losing days the more the Visa is delayed

Whenever you get your ViSA or have any updates then please let us know and i will to keep on updating here as an when i have any updates
Any updates? None at my end yet...

No I didn't not recive. .I escalated today.. . They r telling continously that decision has been taken 24th April. No response email or sms till now.Did u call to them?

Thanks
Sujatha
Hello. When you say you 'escalated', what exactly did you do? Did you email or call on the paid line or something else?
We called on paid line
Okay. Just a suggestion - try emailing them. It costs GBP 5 but they reply as many times as you want on the same query. Also, though the call costs GBP 1.something, every call goes up to 3 to 4 minutes!
Arjun
I paid email service and received status that 'application is ready for consideration by ECO'. So can I use the same email and reply them with further questions?
