Citizenship by Descent Question

Post by hmy605 » Tue May 22, 2018 5:14 pm

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place, if not, apologies.
I was born in the U.S. to a British mother (otherwise than by descent) in August of 1988. I'm currently wanting to get my U.K. passport as I am currently located there. Is it correct that I am already a British Citizen? I am unsure if I was ever registered but I do know that I was listed on my mother's passport when I was little.

Yes, you are British by descent automatically as you were born after 1st January 1983.
