Tier 2 Visa Extension (Shortage Occuptation) Certificate of Sponsorship(CoS) No Maintenance Specified.

Hello,

My wife is on a Tier 2 Visa (Shortage Occupation) and I am her dependant.

The visa is due for extension and her company just sent over the Certificate of Sponsorship Document, but under the following entry, "Tick to certify maintenance for migrant (and dependants, if applicable)", No was selected.

We are both applying to extend together, does this mean that we both have to show maintenance funds, since the CoS document does not certify maintenance for either of us? or does any of us have to show maintenance since this is an extension of a current Tier 2 visa ?

You will be awarded 10 points if:
• you currently have entry clearance, leave to enter, or leave to remain as a Tier 2 skilled
worker, so in your case as you and your wife are applying for Tier 2 Leave to remain (Extension) at the same time, you don't have to show maintenance.

My wife recently got her ILR towards the end of last year using the Tier 2 General visa route. I am looking to extend my my Tier 2 dependent visa in April 2021, I want to find out whose bank account should be used to certify maintenance for my extension application? Should it be my wife's bank account or mine?, or could any of the bank accounts be used to certify maintenance?

There may be no requirement to show maintenance funds for dependants who have lived in the UK for at least one year.
