Dear
I think u better mention your pakistani address, both in contact details and current address, as u r there. As per guideline it says that "117. Decision letters and original documents will be returned to your current address, declared on the front of the application form," so the front is Page number 1 where the contact details are written.

U can arrange the Pick up from them, and address is mentioned in Guideline.
119. If you believe that there is a risk of your documents being lost, e.g. by an overseas postal carrier, you are able to make arrangements for courier collection from ourselves. However, all costs for a courier will need to be borne by yourself.
120. If you arrange for a courier to collect your documents, please fax us on 0114 207 6021 to make the necessary arrangements. If however, at the end of one week your documents have not been collected we will post them out by the appropriate postal method, as above.
121. Please note that we will be unable to sign any documentation when couriers pick up your documents. Therefore, you should check with the Courier Company you instruct that there are no papers to be signed when they collect the parcel from our office. Please see Annex B for further information.

They haven't charged my credit card yet, it's been more than two weeks, is this normal? or do you think I should call hem? What would I ask about without having a reference number?

Many thanks

Hey! Its really abnormal, In fact CC is the fastest way to credit fee. Anyways check the CC status, does that belong to u or some one else. there can be some problem. If u will call them they will simply reply that "we have separate payment division so we are unable to confirm, please check your credit card".

It's my card, it's a visa debit card, british one (barclays), and i've been using it for so long and never had issues. Let's say they faced a problem while trying to charge what do they do? will they just send the application back? shouldn't they like contact me or something? I'm very worried at the moment. Any advice?

I would definitely call them just to "check in." You can tell them that you have been checking your online statements and have noticed that they have not yet charged your card, so you wanted to give a call and make sure that everything was ok with your information.

I called the day after my card was charged just to check in, stating that I had not yet received a reference number and they were very helpful.

Hi, Plz dont panic, suppose if they have some problem they will return the application as it is written in guide line. and HO dont even inform the applicant that there is some failure so in that case it might take few more days to be delivered by Air mail. meanwhile u better check all the information u filled in Application form (if u have a copy). Please check following

1- All relevent information abt payer
2- CVV number of Visa card
3- Your sign on payment section and at the end of Application.
4- Your current Address and all relevent information

This is not good, i was claiming 22jan 2007 to 22jan 2008 period, if they return the application I'll have to rearrange everything and it's very lots of work. I don't understand a reason why the payment won't get through. What number should I call and what should I quote(since I have no ref number)

Yeah, i get the feeling there may be another thread for April applicants (perhaps the Tier 1 April thread).

Anyhow, I am sitting tight, waiting patiently for the results. I don't think there is much we can do but wait after we receive our ref #s. I have been watching trackitt.com in attempt to keep on top of what dates are being processed (and sadly, it seems at the rate they are going, it may be august before we know!).

Has anyone tried calling Home Office to check up on their status lately?
