I applied on line for an extension of my Tier 2 Visa not realizing that I could only apply 28 days before my visa expires. It expires in March 2019. I paid the fee but have not mailed the documents. Can I get a refund or will they hold the money until I reapply?

Cancel and request a refund.

They won't 'hold it' till next year.

Hi,

There is no such rule that you can only apply 28 days before you visa expires for extension, you can apply whenever you want, start date on COS shouldn't be more than 90 days in future.

But if you "wish" to get a refund and apply later then it is a different scenario.
