Indefinite Leave to remain help!!

Post by Tiffany89 » Thu Jun 14, 2018 6:57 pm

Hi everyone. I first got granted leave to remain in 2013 on family life because I have a child to a British citizen, I applied again in 2015 after getting married for further leave to remain and I got leave to remain spouse visa.

I’m wondering can I apply for indefinite leave to remain because I completed 5 yrs in the Uk. I’m worried because I got granted two different types of visa.

my first letter said I can apply for indefinite after 10 years and the second letter said after 5 years but my lawyer thinks it would be fine to just apply for indefinite.

No, you need to extend your spouse visa for a further 2.5 years before you can apply for ILR as far as I understand.
