Hmmm, how do you pay the tax man then ?
Or is this a wind-up?
Gambling winnings are tax free - nice eh!
yes , one of the main reasons i moved to the uk! no taxes plus online poker is legal.
martha, i get this a lot especially from women, they seem to think i'm a degenerate or a liar when i tell them i'm a poker pro. only 5-10% of online players make a profit in the long term and some of those can make a living from it so even though the poker world is full of degens there are a few who actually do quite well. while it is true that luck is a huge factor in poker in the short term it becomes a skill game in the long term, meaning the more hands played the more likely it is the better player will win because variance will cease being an important factor. also keep in mind poker isn't a game you play against the house where it is almost impossible to win due to the way casino games are designed.
