Change in Rule for AGE?

As per HSMP rule
under 27 = 20 points

now i have came to know from my consultant that according to new rules of Tier 1 even if you are over 27 but under 28 you can get 20 points..


My DOB is 27-10-1981 and i am planning to apply for Tier 1 in August2008 ..

plz confirm me how many points i will claim...

I am not aware of any such thing.
As per the guidance notes for Tier1 for people in UK, it mentioned -
Under 28 years of age.
This means if your application reaches when you are 27 years, you are eligible for 20 points.

Please point out a reference on the bia site in case what you are saying is true.

you can very well claim 20 points under this category as per new rules.. you are 26 1/2 years of age and hence come under 28 category

Thanks a lots dear.... I am from pakistan & short of 5 points becoz my prevoius earning is not that much to claim 20 points... i have started a part time job 3 months ago and they are paying me through cheque's i have started to credit it to my existing salary account...

Do any one know how many points i will be claiming for my education?
I did my MBA from SZABIST-Karachi Pakistan ? WHERE TO FIND ?

I think i will be applying before October so that i can claim max points. currently i am 26 1/2 years.. only 6 months to prepare.

Both HSMP and Tier 1 rules say if you are under 28 years of age you get 20 points.

"less than 28 years" = 20 Points

Have a look at the HSMP and Tier 1 Guidance Forms. Its written there in Black and White.
