My wife who was granted a settlement visa, has gone back to pakistan as her mother is very sick. She came to the UK in dec 07 and went back in march and is still there caring for her sick mother. As its almost 2 months now she's been there, what impact will this have on ILR appplication. Also how long is she permitted to stay abroad? Will she have any problems with immigration officers on her arrival back in the UK? In the 2 year probation period how often/long is one allowed to leave UK?
