Cooling off period for ICT Tier 2

Tier 2 ICT visa for High earners(>120000) are allowed for a max stay unto 9 years. It seems the below exception applies for high earners.

The cooling off period does not apply in the following cases:
The applicant is applying under Tier 2 (ICT) and the gross annual salary stated on the applicant’s current certificate of sponsorship (CoS) is £120,000 or higher (or £155,300 if their Certificate of Sponsorship was assigned before 6 April 2017)

Can I apply for an extension after 9 years within UK or do I need to go back to home country and reapply.

Hi,

i am also looking for answer to this specific change brought from Apr 2017.

Please suggest, whether an existing Tier 2 ICT visa holder, could move to a new employer witha new Tier 2 ICT Visa, if the CoS gross salary is more than 120000.
