ILR for my wife

Post by solly830 » Fri Jul 27, 2018 11:10 pm

Dear Sir/Madam

My name is Soliman. I'm a doctor who settled in the UK on Tier 2 visa after I worked for 5 yrs in the NHS. I obtained my ILR last year in June 2017.
My wife and my son joined me in the UK in November 2012 after they obtained their Tier2 dependent visa in June and September respectively.

They obtained Their last Tier 2 dependent visa in February 2017 which is valid till September 2018.

My question is, Which ILR application form are they suppose to use to apply for their ILR ?

Kind regards

soliman

Hi.
You need to fill up SET(O) form for then
If you check the home office website there is a very clear guideline over there.

Many thanks for your swift reply.
I went through the application which is a bit confusing. I used the same form when I applied for my ILR last year but in thr case of applying for a dependent they ask for Work, SOS, salary... etc which doesn’t apply to her, should I just skip these sections in the application and I would be wholeheartedly appreciat it if you could advise about the concerned sections to be filled.

Kind regards

SET(O) form

Post by solly830 » Sat Jul 28, 2018 2:27 pm

I believe that she will need to fill form from SET(O) for her application but I'm a bit confused with the form i.e. will she need to form as the main applicant and my son as a dependent or both as a dependents?
Also she managed to get a job on her current dependent TIER2 visa which is a six months contract, will that affect or change the way she fills her application in any way?

Kind regards

soliman

Wife is main applicant.

Son is dependent.

No issue re work. Employment is not a requirement for dependents applying for ILR.

Only complete parts of form relevant to the dependents.

Kindly keep all your questions on the same application in one topic (this one), topics have been Merged.

The form states what is required, ie no proof of address though as far as I recall.

Is your son UK born or not?

No, He was born in Egypt. They are not very clear about what they need for him unlike aser (M) form. Also, I’m due to send the documents on the weekend by post, their current visa is due to expire on the 12/9/2018, would that have any affect on the application at all?

Much appreciated
