Got refusal and applied again-not received ACK

Post by alexkutty » Thu Mar 03, 2005 6:16 am

Application sent on 28/01/2005
Credit card charged on 01/02/2005
Decision date on 09/02/2005
REF No.:346XX

Points claimed as 28+

Education 15
Experience 50
Spouse 10

No points for senior level experience because they need the reference letter explaining duties and responsibilities in details to consider for senior level or graduate level experience.

New application sent with detailed references from existing and previous employer.

Sent on 23/02/2005
(DHL says) successfully delivered on 25/02/2005
I do not receive any ACK.
And my credit card is not charged yet. I sent an email asking for a confirmation for the receipt of my application, but only received an automated reply.

Is anybody else in similar situation?

Maybe you should just give them a little bit of time. from your first experience you will have seen that it took some 4 days for your CC to be charged and its now just gone 4 days so the charge on your CC should appear in the next day or two. the ack. will only be given after you have been given a ref number, that is after the charge has gone thru.
Did you get an acknowledgement letter in the first instance.

Thank you f2k

The first instance, they received my application on 31st Jan 2005(11.45am), they charged my cc on 1st feb and the same day I recvd the acknowledgement email.

This time they received it on a Friday(25th at 11.40AM as per DHL). almost one week now. I don't know what is happening.

I think my previous ref no. is still valid?

hi folks,

alexkutty, on which date did you get your refusal letter?

what ref number did you have initially? 4 first digits, only.

please, provide your field, country...

it actually sounds like in your case this whole, sending, getting charged, and getting an answer took LESS than a month!!

i wonder if this HO service has gotten SOOOOO efficient or is it that luck is on your side, in terms of time!!

i would suggest you to consider the fact that for most of us, the whole process mentioned above has taken some MONTHS!!

does ANYBODY know the current process times, from close experiences??

thanks for replying...

If you browse thru a lot of the post on the forum you will find that most if not all of the applicants from Dec, Jan and Feb have been processed. It is the speculation of the members of this forum that they are processing fresh applications straight away.
Also you will find that if you read the whole of Alexkutty's post, the answers to the Q you are asking him, e.g ref number, date of refusal etc
