Hello All,

Here's my timeline:
Tier 1 Entrepreneur Extension
Application Sent to HO - 17th August 2017
Biometrics Done - 12th September 2017
Complex Letter Received - End of September 2017
Received letter from HO requesting for RTS of employees with breakdown of their tax paid - 18th April 2018
Received partial refund of IHS - 18th April 2018
Sent requested documents to HO - 25th April 2018

When I initially made an application for Visa in 2014 (based on PSW route), I showed a business which was related to HR. Right now, I am not into that business but into another business which is not a level 6 business which was required for the initial visa. Is that still okay? Or do they require a level of business equivalent to that?

Secondly, I have just received a call for interview which will be next week. Please can someone guide me on what type of questions are asked?

Also, do you think they will be interested in my documents from the date I made application for extension which was Aug 2017? As few things have changed like one employee has left and I currently have only 1 employee.

There are no issues with change of business, nor is there any levels.

Search on this forum for interview questions - there are a number of people who have shared their questions and experiences.

You should be ready with all documents. The changes itself does not matter

I run a events management business and we have our own events venue.
My time line is as follows
15 DEC 17 applied extension
jan 2018 complex letter
jan 2018 bio metric
16 july 2018 received a letter from home office asking for one of my employees resident permit or visa copy which i missed i guess while sending the application.only passport and national insurance was sent and i genuinely forgot to add his ILR copy which i sent in next day delivery.
18 july PARTIAL IHS REFUND FOR ME AND MY BUSINESS PARTNER.
19th july i voluntarily sent some additional documents such as:
1- GDPR compliant certificate (ICO- information commissioner’s office)
2- Registered member of IOD (Institute of Directors)
3- Pay slips from Dec 2017- MAY 2018
4- RTI/FPS from Dec 2017- MAY 2018
5- Employers PAYE DEC2017- MAY 2018
6- Recent Invoices/Function sheets
7- Recent Business Bank Statement DEC 2017- MAY 2018
8- Pictures of Events carried out at our venue.
9- Advertising copies
last week sent one covering letter asking about the update on my application.
lets hope for the best ...still awaiting response from home office

Hopefully you will get an approval shortly.
I always thought that since they have requested documents from me, they won't come for an interview. But I was wrong.
Just a little advice, be prepared as you never know when you will hear from them.

I am ready for interview. I dont mind to face them as everything is genuine but all i expect in return is a quick decision ..
4 years i havent travelled due to this business and a long lost holiday is due

It is so annoying to wait for such a long time just to get visa. Never thought that would happen. It has been almost a year now since I made the application. Unfortunately my passport has expired as well around 8 months ago. Not sure what can be done

1. I took some money from my friends and family for business investment during 2015 & 2016. The money first came to my personal bank account which I then transferred to my business account. Do I have to show my personal statement just to prove that the money came from my friends and family? And if so, can I hide rest of the transactions and just show the one which are required?

2. Is there any particular area which the interviewer will focus on?

3. One of my employee left in 31st July 2017 and I applied for my extension in 17th Aug 2017. I filled part of my application in July when I wasn't aware that the employee will be leaving soon as she only gave a week's notice. Thus, in hurry I forgot to change in my application that the employee left in July and instead have written still employed. Will that be an issue? It's a genuine mistake as I had too much of pressure and completely forgot that.

You need to show your personal statement to show the transfer to the business account (assuming it was by Director Loan). If they ask you for source, you may also need to show the transfers in. You can hide the rest of the transactions.

and which month you applied your extension application.
as per previous members skype interview is just a general interview about your business but be prepared with all the accounts and numbers .

Hello,

Just wanted to give you an update on my interview.

The main areas they will look at are as follows:

Marketing & Research (Research done prior to starting the business would be ideal)
Competition (Basically they want to know if you are aware of your competition and market)
Investment (Breakdown of how much you invested and where. Also proof of how the money came to your account and your business account)
Employment (They are very much concerned of how you keep records of your employees, that includes holidays, health and safety, insurance, pension etc)

Here are some tips:

-Be confident in answering
-Make sure your employees are available, if not be ready with the reason
-Keep your paperwork tidy
-Ensure you have figures from your previous annual accounts in your mind (rather than looking into the paperwork)
-Make all health & safety signs visible

On the basis of experience, I can say that if there is only 1 person visiting your premises, the interview is fairly simple and straightforward. However, if there are 2 people visiting, be ready for cross-questions. My interview lasted around 5 hours including a 45 min break.

I am the sole director of my business so it was just me. Also I only had one officer visiting my place and honestly she was quite generous which was really good for me.
