ILR main applicant - Dependent extension

Post by tharmia81 » Fri Aug 03, 2018 12:22 pm

Hi,

I believe some one can help me here.
I'm the main applicant here, I got my ILR last year via Tier2 General route.
My ILR visa details:
Issue date 15-08-2018
Expiry date 31-12-2024

I have 2 dependents(my wife and daughter):
My wife and my daughter got PBS dependant visa(Tier2 general dependant) on April 2016 valid untill Sep 2018.
Now I'm extending their visa under PBS dependent category https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-partner
When I tried to pay IHS surcharge, it asked me to pay £1300(per person), it looks like it calculated the total no.of years according to my expiry date.

Is I'm doing any mistake here? or what should I do?

They grant 3 years visa per person which means in total you'll have to pay £1200 IHS

Put your 'ILR expiry' date as 3 years from now to get the correct IHS amount.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I will enter 'ILR expiry' date as 3 years from now and I will write a covering letter with all the information to UKBA and send along with the application.
What I'm going to do is right?

Thanks
Vinoth

You don't need a covering letter. You simply need to pay the correct amount of IHS and no questions will be asked.

Many have done this due to the slight glitch in the process for IHS.

Now it is not allowing me to edit my ilr expiry date. It is directly taking me to the IHS payment screen £1300 + £1300 = £2600.
