DOCUMENTS Question

Post by ap5033 » Mon Aug 06, 2018 3:37 pm

Hi there,

I am applying for ILR after 5 years as a Tier 2 (general) Visa holder.

Prior to that, I had the Tier 1 (PSW - 2 years) & Tier 4 (Student - 1 year) visa.

I have just filled in my ILR form online and in the supporting documents section, it asks for the following:

For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules. For further information concerning the evidence required, please refer to the Tier 2 migrant policy guidance on our website

If anyone could please shed some light on what documents these might be for my specific case (Tier 1 & Tier 4 prior), it would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Submission Date Query

Post by ap5033 » Mon Aug 06, 2018 3:54 pm

Hi there,

I qualify for ILR after 5 years residence on Tier 2 (General) on the 16th of Dec 2018. In this case, I am eligible to apply for ILR from 28 days before the qualifying period which is after the 19th of Nov 2018.

My question is if I want to book a Priority Sercive Centre (PSC) appointment, do I just need to make sure that my appointment date is after the 19th of Nov?

In order to be able to book the appointment for that date (or after), I need to submit and pay for the application in the second week of September.

I was just wondering if the online payment and submission (Sep) would be considered the submission date or if the appointment date (Nov) would be considered the submission date?

Just worried as if it is the former, then I would not qualify time-wise.

Thanks very much!
