Good news for EUFAM holders

Post by gorgeous » Tue Aug 07, 2018 4:23 pm

Hi guys,

Apparently, EUFAM holders do not need to be in the Non-EU queue anymore. Speaking to the officer he said that I didn't need to be in the Non-EU queue anymore as I didn't require a stamp (due to the EUFAM). So he said, no matter if I am with my partner or not, I can just use the EU queue now.

I think this is a new procedure because my friend was told the same thing last week. If they're not aware, he said that we should just let them know, because this is a new thing.

Have any of yous tried this yet without your partner/spouse?

It depends on the immigration officer and the level of knowledge they have about the Directive.

I have been travelling frequently for the last two years and I’ve been told in some occasions I was holding up an EU Queue and other occasions I can use either of the queues.

I’m hazzarding a guest here but because the EUFAM has been issued by the Irish authorities then the chances are they are more lenient on which queue you can use.
