Applied 18th Feb
Decision made 7th April
Doc's recieved 8th May. I had requested courier pickup by fax, email and phone but this request was ignored. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
congrats!
Its suprising that it took a month to receive the docs after approval. Dont they intimate once decision is made on an application?

I know exactly how you're feeling mate. I'm not sure how far they are now on dates?
Howz your search going? have you found anything exciting? the job market seems to be just about OK at the moment but its still not as good as it can be.

I just looked up the ref number email that I received from the home office a while ago and guess what - the line where it says "We received your application on: ...." its got my date of birth! go figure!
Surely my application wasn't sent when I was born! 1978!

If your application is pending for more than a month with the caseworker. Then according to my experience and understanding a major reason for the delay in outcome of the application is verification checks on the authenticity of the documents provided (mainly employer reference and income documents). Because every second person has got the degree but not the every second person has got the higher threshold of income to get HSMP. There has been lot of abuse of this scheme in the past therefore HO is taking stronger checks than ever before to ensure that only deserved people get the HSMP.
Some of the applications are approved witout verification checks. But most of the applications go go through verification checks. Verification checks are mostly stringent for the nationals of third world countries.

it depends on where you are applying from. If you are from a country where tier1 is already in place then u will have to apply using the tier 1 application.

Applied on 18-Feb and almost 14 Weeks went off, still no decision has made and for past 8 wks my case is still with caseworker. Yesterday i called to HO, and they said due to high number of applications cases are getting delay and no reason given for the delayed... its very very depressive
is there any way to speed up the process?

Finally got the approval, just received an email from my agent that I now have got the initial approval.
Keeping fingers crossed for the FLR now, since my agent had applied for the HSMP and the FLR together
My timelines below
App Filed - 27th Feb 2008
App Recd - 28th Feb 2008
Fees Deducted - 11th March 2008 ( a bit too late coz my agent sent a DD )
Ref num - 256111 - got that by calling the HO
Approval date - 20th May 2008
Good luck to all those waiting, it takes a bit long but dont worry you will get it....

0114 207 4074
For HSMP Option 2
and then press Option 2 again to speak to an Adviser.
Mind you it will probably take more than 10 min on average to get through.
