Regarding NARIC

Post by coolguyIndia » Fri May 09, 2008 9:50 am

Dear Kaushal,

First of all congratulations on getting your Tier 1 Approval letter. Also I would like to thank you for contributing to this forum for helping others for their Tier 1 application, appreciate it man.

Now to my query, I have done BE in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai (K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering). I would like to know what was your response to point 3.2 in VAF9A for qualification in NARIC UK Database.

If anyone else can also contribute to this query, most welcome.

Thanks in advance.
Thanks & Best Regards

coolguy,

BE from mumbai university is recognised by BIA self assessment points calculator. Thus you should select select 'Degree on NARIC database' for 3.2

In the points calculator, select:

Country: India
state: maharashtra
university: University of Mumbai
qualification: bachelors (minimum 4 years programme)

Cheers
Kaushal

Hi Kaushal,
Congrats on getting through with your tier-1 visa. Appreciate the help that you have been giving to members in this forum.

Just thought if I could get some assistance in filling up a couple of sections in VAF9A form, especially since I could not find any guidance notes for this form anywhere.

1. What should I fill in Section 4.11 in VAF9A? I am providing my payslips and bank statements as evidence for previous earnings. So should this section have full contact details (address and contact numbers) of my employer and bank? I guess bank contacts should be straightforward. But should the employer's contact be the actual office location where I am working or can I give address and number of the registered or head office?

2. Section 6.5 (Duration of Study): What dates can I give here? I have done a Bachelor of Engineering (4 year course) from Pune Univ, but I've had a 1 year break in between the 3rd and 4th years. Should I fill here the actual duration for my study (5 years including the 1 year break) or the duration of the course (which is 4 years)?

Would appreciate answers from anyone.

Thanks!

Hi Kaushal,

Great to hear that you got it! Congrats.

One question:
My earnings and maintenance will show up in the same bank account. So under Maintenance should I mention in the cover letter that they should refer to my bank statements sent for the purpose of earnings proof.

Thank you.

tier1 initial application from UK

Post by neel17 » Sun May 11, 2008 11:38 am

Hi everyone,

Two questions...

1. For initial teir 1 application form UK do I need to send the passport with application?

2. My docs are ready and my current WP is expiring in a weeks time. If I apply now before 2-3 days it expires can I continue to leave in UK, till decision is made and my passport is returned?

Would someone please provide information here...

Thank you

Is Form VAF 2 required while submitting Tier application

Post by Rajesh.Nadhe » Mon May 12, 2008 12:21 pm

Hi Kaushal,

Congratulations for your success in Tier Visa stamping.

Well, I got lot of information from your posting and need to know few small things. When I visited VFS, Pune to know about the Tier 1 application process, they told me that along with forms VAF 9A and VAF 9B, I need to fill in VAF 2 form also. Did you happen to fill and submit this form? Please let me know.

Waiting to hear from me.

Rajesh

No VAF2.Vfs is still learning this process. They might insist becoz of their ignorance but high commission will tear it of becoz it is not rquired.

Sitting here in India wont fetch anything.Chances are slim.
You have to travel to UK and search for a job.
