Engaging a migration agent

Post by anothertrekker » Tue May 13, 2008 7:17 am

I would like to relocate to Australia & am communicating with a company that is keen on employing me. From past experience, the HR dept of that company should help in getting a visa for me. So, I am thinking whether I should engage a migration agent to help (meaning I have to pay 3-5K) or let HR do their job? Ultimately, I would like to obtain PR.

If anyone has had experience working with an agent, appreciate if you could enlighten me on what they can do that I can't do myself? I will be meeting in a few days' time to ask the same question but would like info from a client's point of view.

Thanks for your time. Cheer!
