Confused by ILR application "within 28 days of you completing your qualifying period“

Post by graphene » Mon Aug 13, 2018 7:34 am

I am just confuse by the ILR application "within 28 days of you completing your qualifying period" as shown below at the HO website.

"If you are applying for settlement (known as ‘indefinite leave to remain’), please ensure that your premium appointment is within 28 days of you completing your qualifying period. If it is not, you should reschedule or cancel your appointment.
If you attend a premium service appointment and submit your application more than 28 days before completing your qualifying period your application will normally be refused."

In my case, I came to the UK on 18 Sept 2008, and the current visa till Feb 2019. Suppose I could get the Premium Service application on 21 Sept 2018, could I apply for the ILR within so called 28 days of completing the qualifying period?

Thanks for any advice.

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before 18 September BUT you can also apply anytime as long as it is in before your visa expires.

If you initially entered the UK on 18 Sept 2008, then an application date for SET(LR) on 21 Sept 2008 should be acceptable.

Thanks Vinny, the application data is when I have paid the Settle (LR) service (for example 13 Aug) or the premium appointment data, i.e. 21 Sept?
