Biometric Process for FLR M

Hi, for FLR what is the process for biometrics if you did a postal hand written application. Do the home office send an email or send a letter with instructions
Is it any different to an online postal application?

You get a letter by post and then take the letter to the Post Office to enroll biometrics.

Online applications you are able to download the biometric letter once application is submitted and paid as far as I understand.
