"Apply online" option for ilr

Post by Prt_fds » Sat Aug 18, 2018 11:19 pm

Hello, I am due for ilr from 23rd sep onwards on my tier 2, 5 year route category and had a question. I am looking to apply the premium way but the home office website states the below

"How to apply
You can apply online.
You can apply with form SET(O) instead. Send it to the address on the form or take it to a premium service centre. Check the form to find out which supporting documents you need."

I had a question, what is the difference between applying online and applying with SET(O). What happens if I apply online, will it go the postal (longer route) way?

If I want to apply via a premium route, should I apply online or apply with SET(O) form?

Please can some one help?

Thanks

I'm not sure if it's possible to apply online and do the premium service centre. You should book your premium service centre appointment and then print out and fill in the form and take it with you to your appointment along with all your other documents.

You can apply online and then book an appointment as part of the online process.

OR

You can book only the appointment and then complete the paper form. If you choose to only book the appointment, you cannot then proceed to use the online form.

Note the online form is more simple than the lengthy paper form.

You should note also that many members are experiencing difficulties in getting appointments. In addition, the service is changing sometime in October, see link below.
