Hi,
I am applying a tier-2 general extension and haven't been able to progress, as the IHS website doesn't load.
Q. Is someone else also seeing a broken website with a message - The Immigration Health Surcharge portal is currently unavailable. We are working as quickly as possible to fix this problem. Your application has been saved, and we advise you to keep checking.
Q. Usually how long it takes for the website to be up and running? It has been down for 12+ hours now!

Hi, I have been experiencing this problem since yesterday afternoon actually. Any idea what to do? Will I still be able to interview, since we are not able to complete the application online? Not sure what to do and whether i should go to the appointment or not? please help if you have further information.

I saw on the forum that the same issue happened a year ago. they're just really crap on handling this and took few days to fix it at the end. apparently there's nothing u can do but just wait! I dont think u can go to the appointment as you havent really completed the online application without paying it. I hope your supporting docs are within the 28 days rule even theres a delay... fingercrossed xx

Hi everyone,
Same issue. I have been applying for extension of my stay but cannot complete my application due to technical issues with IHS portal. I called visa4uk for some advice and they told me to send an application with a cover letter explaining the reason why I could not make IHS payment.

It has actually been down for almost two days now. It could be back any second or several days...I am expecting a reply to my email from their IT department, we shall see.

There was a bug which I posted about two days back. the nationality was being populated incorrectly. Now the entire site is down since yesterday morning. very frustrating

Hi i have got the same problem since yesterday afternoon but i think i can't have an appointment until i have completed my application , how r uable tohavet before ?

They have no clue. They just said that the site is down (As if we didn't know that)

Instead of posting the same question on the forum, why not simply try the portal to pay??? Someone already posted a few days ago that it was up and running!!!

Sorry for repeted post. But I have been contacted by my UK solicitor and they said there is still technical issues with ihs website and they are sorting it. Anyone still facing this problem?

Haven't been able to pay the IHS fee and submit my application for more than a week, as soon as I click "Pay now", before even entering credit card info, I get this error:
"Sorry, there was a problem processing your payment.
Please close the browser and contact the merchant quoting the following reference number:
D180829-T065753-M691-82"
