Do I need to do RLMT again?

Post by hpr0716 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:17 am

Hi guys,

I have 30k and applied for RCoS this month, non-everything. Yesterday we received letter from HO and said that I need to earn 33K to get the RCoS. My company is happy to raise my salary to 33k so that I can get the RCoS.

In this case, does the company need to do RLMT again? On my previous RLMT advert it says clearly that the role will be paid 30K.

Thanks!

We just found out that the lawyer used the wrong SOC to apply for my visa...

He used 3545 to apply for my visa but actually my job should be 3546

I am 27 yrs old so have to count as experienced worker.

In this case, can we apply for RCoS next month with the correct code?

Thanks!

Are you sure about the 3546 SOC??? It is a RQF 4 skill and I believe you have to be sponsored at RQF 6 for Tier 2 General, which SOC 3545 is.

What is your job title?
3546 Conference and exhibition managers and organisers
Example job tasks:
• discusses conference and exhibition requirements with clients and advises on facilities;
• develops proposal for the event, and presents proposal to client;
• allocates exhibition space to exhibitors;
• plans work schedules, assigns tasks, and co-ordinates the activities of designers, crafts persons, technical staff, caterers and other events staff;
• liaises closely with venue staff to ensure smooth running of the event;
• ensures that Health and Safety and other statutory regulations are met.

Related job titles:
• Conference coordinator
• Event organiser
• Events manager
• Exhibition organiser
• Hospitality manager

Salary rates:
New entrant: £18,400
Experienced worker: £22,700

My job title is Senior Client Services and Event Manager,

Ah I didn't know that it has to be RQF6 to apply for T2 visa, so probably that's why the lawyer used the code 3545...

How does 2473 SOC relate to your Job Title you have stated which does not appear to be in the Advertising sector?

Is it really??
3546 Conference and exhibition managers and organisers
Example job tasks:
• discusses conference and exhibition requirements with clients and advises on facilities;
• develops proposal for the event, and presents proposal to client;
• allocates exhibition space to exhibitors;
• plans work schedules, assigns tasks, and co-ordinates the activities of designers, crafts persons, technical staff, caterers and other events staff;

• arranges conferences, exhibitions, seminars, etc. to promote the image of a product, service or organisation.
It would only be, at a stretch, the last point in 2473 that might apply but this point would be the client that you on 3546 would deal with and you would do the running around etc for the client on 2473.

It is not up to you to decide what SOC is the most applicable. The SOC must match what the RLMT stated. To be honest, there are many who do the job of SOC 3546 already within the UK, given the size of the events/festival/conference market and companies who do it (my daughter works for one of them).
