ILR application date

Post by Shelly29 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 11:18 am

Hi Experts

I am new to this board and urgently need advise.

I am due to apply for my ILR in October for which I should be booking appointment soon, but dont know when I am eligible to apply.

My Tier 2 general stamped issue date is 12 November 2013, I entered in UK on 23 November 2013 and started the job next day (24 November)

I am not sure if I am eligible to apply 28 days before 24 November or 28 days before 12 November.

Please advise.

Thanks CR001.

Thats my understanding as well. I checked with a consultant and she is saying 28 days before 24 November.

I will really appreciate if you could provide me the link to page where this calculation can be found on Home office guidance.

Regards

You might want to educate your consult on the recent changes earlier this year re PBS migrants, as your consultant seems to have no clue.

Big changes to continuous residence rule for ILR applicants under PBS (click)

You don't need a consultant for an ILR application. It is not a complicated application to make and using one has no influence on the outcome. All you will be is poorer.

Thanks CR001.

I was not very sure how to fill details about my maternity salary etc hencewhy hired a consultant to do it.

But now looks like she doesn't know much. I will talk to her again now.

Hi

I am filling in the online Set(0) form now and there is a question as 'Are you on maternity, paternity, shared parental or adoption leave?'

I am not currently on Maternity but was on maternity in 2016. If I mark it Yes then form gives me the option to enter start date and end date of maternity but upon marking as No, no further questions on it.

Can someone please clarify what should I mark it as.

Thanks in advance.

Maternity leave in 2016 is irrelevant.

The question you have posted is in the present tense, hence meaning 'currently on ......' as opposed to 'have you been......'

Hi

About to submit the application and I am not sure what this question actually means -

'Is the account with a bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation held jointly by you and other people?'

Is it about my salary account?

Any bank or utility account. If you are submitting any documents in joint names with another person, they have to sign consent in your form for HO to do their checks.

Hi Experts

I am quite worried and looking for urgent advice.

I booked an appointment at Liverpool and it was successfully booked. Next day I tried to reschedule it to Croydon but at the very last screen it kept on throwing error. I tried many times but same result.

So yesterday, I dropped an email to UKVI technical issues team that the reschedule of the appointment does not work.

I got the response saying that my appointment is rescheduled already and original appointment is cancelled but I have not received any email confirmation for change in appointment nor the documents to be downloaded are updated with the amended appointment. They all shows the initial appointment as Liverpool.

I have send them further emails but not receiving any response. Now I am so worried that may be I have lost my original appointment as well.
