Switch my visa Category to tier 2 while my Tier 1 Extension in progress

Hi guys,
Here is below my timeline for Tier 1 Ext. (50k) Entrepreneurial Team application:

Applied for extension in April 2017
Complex letter May 2017
Interview February 2018
A lot of chasing emails & calls to the UKVI with no response.

My business partner eligible for 10 years ILR on 10th September 2018

I got few questions
1) What are my options to get Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa even after my business partner varied to ILR
2) Is I need to provide any additional documents regarding Investment part?
3) Can I switch my visa category to Tier 2 while extension in progress?
4) Is anyone switch to tier 2 and got approved while Tier 1 Extension in progress?
5) What if I vary to FLR FP?

Any inputs will be much appreciated

So you are just trying to get to 10 year mark and not really interested in either.
Depends on which one you have proper basis for that will avoid a refusal.
