Can I work while I await dependent visa BRP?

Hi,

I am currently on ICT and will be switching to T2G dependent visa (partner's visa is currently under process).

My question is whether I can start working after I make my T2 dependent visa application? Or I will have to wait until I get my BRP?

p.S: I will be switching within the UK, so I will be in the UK while the process happens.

If I need to change my employer? I can switch employers without an issue as a Tier 2 Dependent, so while the application is in the process would I still be a Tier 2 ICT or I will have to wait until my BRP card arrives to switch my employer.

You have to wait for your dependent visa approval and your new BRP card before you can work for another employer. You only have a dependent visa when it is approved and you physically have your new visa.

You need evidence if right to work and while you are waiting for a decision, you won't have that and your existing ICT visa conditions remain in force prohibiting you from working for anyone other than your ICT sponsor.
