Appendix II mistake

Post by mani_116 » Tue May 22, 2018 10:38 pm

Hi

I sent my wife's application to the Sheffield office on Monday, and I just remembered I didn't fill the section that says "when did you last see your sponsor"

1. is there any way of sending that information?

I left Pakistan on the 19th April, so that's when we last met, but we video call each other everyday, so what would be the answer to "when did you last see your sponsor" ?

thanks

Too late now - last seen mean physical visit. They may work it out from your visa stamps to Pakistan.

document sending address

Post by mani_116 » Tue Jun 05, 2018 12:29 pm

Hi, I sent my documents to

UK Visas and Immigration International
PO Box 5852
Sheffield
S11 0FX

on 18st May.

I was just going through the immigration boards on here and came across a pinned thread which said documents should be sent to

The Portergate – Level 1 (Home Office - UKVI)
257 Ecclesall Road
Sheffield
S11 8NX
United Kingdom

so have I sent my docs to the wrong address or is it all the same?

thanks

I sent my documents to:
UK Visas and Immigration International
PO Box 5852
Sheffield
S11 0FX

and Parcelforce redirected them automatically to
Home Office
The Portergate
257 Ecclesall Road
Sheffield
S11 8NX

This is because Parcelforce don't deliver to PO box addresses.

I have however been in touch with UKVI and they say they have no offices at "257 Ecclesall Road" and they haven't received my documents!

I have my MP looking into it.

How did you send them?
Did you not use the special delivery envelope or did you send a parcel and sent them parcelforce?

For p o box addresses always use royal mail and I personally think it depend on each individual post office branch as how much weight they can accommodate through special delivery service because some post offices says maximum 2 kg while some says 5kg and I also heard that some post office can take up to 20kg of weight.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Had an update from HO today (via my MP). Parcelforce delivered my evidence pack to the wrong Home Office building apparently, so it could have been sitting there indefinitely if I hadn't have chased it. Apparently, they were only able to track it down internally by the name I gave of the person who signed for it.

I won't be using Parcelforce ever again!

@alewid it was a box weighing over 2KG, not an envelope. As it was sent on a pre-9, next day, it was naturally considered special delivery (signed and tracked).
