For ILR based on 5 years residence, you can only use the Tier 2 General as long as you have 5 years continuous residence in this category and meet all the Tier 2 to ILR requirements. You can only hold a tier 2 general visa for 6 continuous years.Jan 2018 - Jan 2019 : Tier 2 ICT Dependent
Jan 2019-Sep 2019: Tier 2 General
Sep 2019 - Sep 2021 : Tier 4 Dependent
Sep 2021 and onwards Tier 2 Gen

For ILR based on long residence, all visas count and your residence starts counting from the date you entered the UK, which based on your other posts, is from x date in January 2018.
All based on the rules as they are now. Anything can change in the coming years.
The reason for this question is that 10 year Long Residence LR can impact spousal visas.
I understand, thank you!secret.simon wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 7:03 pmThe reason for this question is that 10 year Long Residence LR can impact spousal visas.
Also, while it is commendable that you are planning in advance, be aware that Immigration Rules change often (about 3-5 times a year since 2015, but 6 or more a year before then) and the doctrine of legitimate expectations does not apply to Long Residence applications.
Keep an ear to the ground and follow these forums and the gov.uk website for updates on immigration rule changes.
You cannot include dependents with ILR LR. If you have dependents, they would have to switch to FLR(M) and meet the requirements. But you and your dependent appear to be planning to switch back and forth between visas based on your numerous posts so if you have a dependent at the time you might qualify, if they have 10 years residence, they can apply for ILR on their own.vincentforums wrote: ↑Thu Sep 13, 2018 10:37 pmPS: What does this mean?
