I rang again today cause the waiting has been killing me, and I was told by the HO that my documents were sent today! YAY! Should arrive Monday, of course I will add all the details once recieved (and hopefully approved!).

Congrats Abhishek, all the very best and have a fantastic weekend! you reciept letter was 1 day before mine, so it makes sence (in my head at least) for mine to come monday - even though I know it doesnt work like that!!!

Just phoned for an update as my 28 days are up, and I was advised that the caseworker made a decision on this May 13, and that it should be back in the post in the next 2-3 working days... Fingers crossed!!! Good luck to all those also waiting, I know how much it sucks!

IETE is an autonomous professional society recognized by Govt. of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, and notified as an educational institution (in other words, not an institution in reality but govt. has given it the special status). As far as I know it is not affiliated to any university / institution, but the different levels of memberships are recognized by various govt. bodies and educational institutions for the purpose of higher stuides or appointments.

Anyhow, since it is not in the self-assessment tool the only option is to get a letter of comparability from NARIC.

Hi tieronevisa,
Don't worry for that. Its ok. Even my payslip was same. Even some of my bank statements were missing, so I ordered for duplicates and a word "Duplicate" was written on that. My payslip had also "copy" word on top. And, I applied with a join a/c with my wife.

Please confirm if for previous UK earnings: 12 months slary slips and annual P60, will suffice, if both cover for the same 12 month period. It seems 12 months bank statements will add a lot to the paperwork, so are they really required?

You need to produce proof of income from two independent sources. Since both P60 and salary slip comes from same source (employer), that is not suffucient. You need to give another proof (best would eb riginal bank statements)

Dear all,
I am on HSMP & now going to apply for FLR. Should it be mentioned in the covering letter that I want to be considered under old rules as per HC ruling.
Does anyone know if another set of forms are going to come out for HSMP extensions in this month?

I qualify anyway under Tier 1 with more than 100 points, so should I just apply under Tier 1 anyway, for thats all the currents forms are for.
I previously had 2 yrs FLR so am I now going to get 3 ytrs FLR?

Last query, do I need to send my original degree for qualification again, if I am not using it for English requirement or should I send it anyway.

hi all

I called HO Friday afternoon to get an update, and was told something different to the previous 5 times I've rung....

The CC rep said my case was essentially 'on hold' because my initial HSMP was approved August 2006 - so any extensions affected by the JC ruling were not being reviewed until the HO is instructed on how to deal with them.

This was expected to be last week, but they still hadn't made a decision on how to handle us.

They did say once the decision is made, it should work in our favour, but it's still frustrating to only find this out now...

Is there anyone out there who has had a tier 1 application approved, as a HSMP extension (where your initial app was approved / stamped prior to November 2006)?
