Well...I had also applied for HSMP extension under Tier1(general)...there was no letter or cover note along with my application asking it to be treated on old rules based on JR.

However, I did get to read some posts from ppl applying sometime in third week of april asking HO to assess them based on the JR ruling...

I am not sure they did provide any option/link on the website about the same....by that time even(third week of April)

anyways, try and call them today morning and see what have they got to say coz they have processed my application and my application was almost close to your date of application.

Do let us know what have they got to say...

hi all

I called HO Friday afternoon to get an update, and was told something different to the previous 5 times I've rung....

The CC rep said my case was essentially 'on hold' because my initial HSMP was approved August 2006 - so any extensions affected by the JC ruling were not being reviewed until the HO is instructed on how to deal with them.

This was expected to be last week, but they still hadn't made a decision on how to handle us.

They did say once the decision is made, it should work in our favour, but it's still frustrating to only find this out now...

Is there anyone out there who has had a tier 1 application approved, as a HSMP extension (where your initial app was approved / stamped prior to November 2006)?

I am a little late in posting the details of my application...

Well at the outset a big round of thanks to all the forum members and moderators who have been extremely helpful with their gestures in helping me out ppl with my application and other related details.

I would also like to add that surely this forum helps a lot in keeping the nerves cool specially during the endless waiting in period which is so agonizing at times....

As someone has explained earlier in this forum, it's not mandatory to send any self addressed or special delivery envelope. If you want your documents to be returned by special delivery (which is quick and reliable), you need to provide a self-addressed special delivery envelope. Otherwise home office will send your document by regular post, I guess it's first class mail.
So just relax even if you haven't provided a special delivery envelope. It may take a day or two extra to get your documents returned.

Hi guys,

my friend is applying from UK for tier1.

He asked me question about the previous earning from India. He is student here.

He got the bank statement for the whole year ( only two papers). which shows that his salary in and out (as his employment is from India) . so he want to knew whether the two papers from his bank is sufficient. or do he have to take each month bank statement separately.

Does it really concern about the no.of pages.

We need yours advice. Special from the guys who is showing their Indian employment and bank statement ( please do mention in yours reply).

As long as the bank statements shows salary credit for each of the 12 months in question, it doesn't matter if it is 1 page statement or 50 pages.
