Further update and Good news as my wife's application has been approved
Applied online NDRS+JCAP and HO received docs 27/07.
Date on approval is 04/09 which means HO took almost 26 working days to make a decision which I think is well done on their part. I called Register office today and they said we will receive a letter from them with an invitation date later this week.

I contacted HMPO in order to guage the progress of my application. I was told that they received the passport application on the 30th August. The lady I spoke to says once the Home Office is through with their checks it's then passed to them. (Don't know how accurate this info is)

On the 7th September I received a letter stating that they were unable to process passport fee, so paid over the phone.

Praying that I'll be able to update with some good news soon.
